Pick Ryu if you want an all-rounder who likes to look for his openings and make every strike count. Ryu's general gameplan is to use his good normals and Hadoken to control space, stock a Denjin Renki when he has the chance, and cash out for a damaging combo when he sees an opening. Unique to Ryu is the Denjin Renki, a special move that enhances his Hadoken and Hashogeki specials. Ryu does however focus on a more patient and opportunistic style, with short but decently powerful combos and special moves.

Ryu is a jack of all trades who can do everything, but doesn't particularly excel at one specific thing like other characters do.
